The page that does the selling

A service page speaks to someone with a specific problem who is deciding between you and two others. Answer their questions in the order they occur.

  1. What this is, in the words a customer uses, in the first two lines.
  2. Who it suits, and equally usefully, who it does not.
  3. What happens, step by step, from the first call to the final visit or delivery.
  4. How long, per session and overall.
  5. What it costs, or how the cost is arrived at. If GST applies, say that it applies at the rate your CA confirms rather than printing a figure that may change.
  6. What to bring or prepare.
  7. How to start, with the button right there.

Describe the process, not the result. “Your slot is held for fifteen minutes while you confirm” is a mechanism, verifiable and reassuring. Promises about outcomes are neither.

Proof pages

Galleries, case studies and testimonials replace adjectives with evidence. A short case study in three parts, the situation, what was done, what was delivered, is worth more than a page of superlatives. Use real photographs of real work with permission, and name the client only if they have agreed in writing.

If your field is regulated, or touches health, finance or legal advice, be conservative. Show the premises, the equipment, the qualifications and the process. Leave outcome claims and comparisons out entirely, because the rules on them are stricter than most owners realise and the penalty is not worth the paragraph.

The footer nobody reads and everybody needs

Four links belong in your footer permanently.

  • Privacy Policy. What data you collect through forms, why, and how someone can ask for it to be removed.
  • Terms of Service. The basis on which you provide what you provide.
  • Refund and Cancellation Policy. Mandatory in practice if you take online payments through any Indian gateway.
  • Contact and address. A real, verifiable address, which also supports your local listings.

These pages ship with the pre-built foundation and need your specifics filled in: your business name, your address, your grievance contact, your actual cancellation window. Set aside thirty minutes once, do it properly, and then leave them alone.
